Shower Water Pressure

Has anyone changed out their pump to get more pressure to the shower? The current pump is 3 GPM and I'm considering changing it out to 5 or so to try to push more water to the head. Curious if anyone else has experience with this.

I have a 5gpm variable and It doesn’t help much….
 
We had a water pressure problem and changed both of the fixtures: the head and the valve. Now it's great.
