Sidepower Thruster on R31S

I'd like to improve the performance of my thrusters, and I recently met a boat owner who had upgraded his Sidepower thruster propellor to a five blade model. https://side-power.com/kategori/1897/pr ... gradering/

He reported a significant increase in thrust, as well as reduced noise. I'd be most grateful if you can provide any information on this.

Please let me know which model(s) of thrusters come on the 2020 R31S.

Bow-SE40/125S, Bow Thruster, 40KG
Stern-SE40/125S-IP, Stern Thruster, 40KG

I think we'll have to call the Sidepower folks to be sure, but the link to the website with the upgraded props is in the OP. They don't list our model of thrusters. Maybe they have more info.

And here it is with a better description (it's the 2nd row of products)

Go to the quick search box and type in SE40, and that should bring up a better description and verify the part number.

I haven't had a chance to verify this with Imtra, so take the info with a grain of salt. If we get lucky and these work, they'll be a wonderful improvement. Fingers will be crossed.

I wonder if West Marine stores carry these, I found one for sp155 but not 125, maybe needs to be special ordered.

FWIW, I can confirm that our 2019 C30 has 5-bladed thruster props. Maybe the factory can comment when a switch was made?

Upon inspection of my bow thruster, you are correct: 5 blade prop. Sucks. I was hoping for reduced noise and improved performance. Thanks for the info!
