Hello,

We are cruising in the Gulf Islands, BC, Canada and our sink drain in the head is clogged. I think some toilet paper might have gotten in the drain. ( I know! That is not where the paper goes! ) LOL

Does anyone know how to remove the strainer/stopper and clean it?

Thanks,

I don't know your Ports of Call in the Gulf Islands but if you are near a hardware store/supermarket (Sidney, Ganges, Port Browning etc.) you could acquire a small sized toilet plunger and try that. I've found it to be useful for such events, usually a slow draining sink in the galley.

Larry,
If you are near Ganges, Mouat’s Trading Company in downtown carries a small plunger. Just bought one there 3 weeks ago for a similar situation.

Thanks for the plunger suggestion.

Is there any way to take the stopper out? It is a push down to lock, and push down again to release deal.

Thanks for the help.

Thank you for the info. The chrome top does indeed screw off the stem and expose the drain.

The clog was easily cleared then.

Problem resolved, full cruising resumes.

Thanks to all the Tug Nuts!

My 2012 RT 31 had clog. It has a chrome flapper that doesn't seem to unscrew or want to come out. But I flipped it vertical, saw something down - used a small needle nose and pulled a giant hairball out. Yes, I do have girls...........
