Today I cancelled the coastal subscription after three Garmin GXM52 units in three years and innumerable "signal refreshes" from Sirius. Dealing with Garmin was easy while I attempted to figure out why I lost the Sirius signal so frequently, and the two units they sent me to replace the original 2017 unit were covered by warranty, I replaced the NEMA 2000 connections in 2018, and did find several that were loose, including the GXM52 connection. But after the replacements and near constant refreshes while at sea and at my Maine slip, I'm done.
Any similar experiences out there?

I looked into it, but decided it wasn't worth the investment. There's a boat load of weather apps out there. My go to app is Weather bug, they always seem to be spot on. There's a free version, and an ad free version that costs a few $. I back that up with NOAA weather radar app, The Weather Channel app, and Storm Radar app.

Thanks - appreciate your feedback.

You might want to check out WindAlert and Predict Wind also. They are free apps (at least for Android). I find WindAlert more user friendly, but I know others on Tugnuts swear by Predict Wind.
