Has anyone had to reload all SmartCraft information? I just purchased a 2009 R-25, and the screen display was frozen. No change in RPM or display during the sea trial. I was told it would be fixed before purchase, but after a few hours underway after purchase, it appears all the data is missing, i.e., no tank data, fuel qty, etc. As if a factory reboot was done and now starting from square-one.
Do I need to load each section/data screen, or should I get a tech. to do this? Is the fuel tank uniform? How many parameters are there? 😱

Hello Randy,

I would strongly suggest getting a local Mercury technician involved or obtain the installation Smart Craft manuals which will outline what needs to be done. If you do fuel calibrations, you have to start with an empty tank and do 5-10 gallons at a time if my memory serves me right. Been a long time since I messed with these and don't remember all of what is involved.

Thanks Randy,

Looking at the manual for tank calibration, it states, that for linear shaped fuel tanks to use method 1. Is the R-25 tank linear?
