Hi
We are going to be spending a year in Victoria. When in salt water the dingy tends to need the bottom cleaned a lot. I am considering getting the davits and installing on the swim platform hoping I can hook up at night and tip the dingy out of the water when not in use.. and of course while cruising. Has anyone got a soft bottom with a 6hp 4 stroke or heavier engine that used the raised davit system and lifts the whole thing out without removing the engine?
I have seen lots with the hard bottom. I suspect I will need a susport from the wood transome to somewhere while it is tipped up to help take some weight.
Thanks
