I can't get the soft caulk on the boat clean. I thought about removing it and replacing it with either Life caulk or Sikaflex Marine sealant. This way the surface will be hard and not attract debris that will stick to the caulk. Any suggestions?

Consider Rapid Tac Adhesive Remover. Available on Amazon. It is has a water-soluble base. Though it is designed for removing "sticky" residue from removed stickers, we found it works really well on dirty/stained soft and hard caulk. We discovered this product when we removed ALL of the NANNY STICKERS on Ruby.

Spray on and wait a few seconds. Wipe away and rinse with water. Use a paper towel and do small sections at a time. You'll notice that it removes a small amount of the surface material so rotate to a clean section of your paper towel each wipe.

We found it safe on gelcoat, paint, and bare metal surfaces.
