Soggy 31 CB

It is always a crap shoot. I would suspect thruster issues. I would also be suspicious of any wiring or controls at or below the water infiltration level. I would discount for all the removed items, figure a new engine and then some. If you don't mind doing repairs and you get it for a good enough price after you have physically checked it out then you may be okay. Remember, the boat will also always have the water infiltration as a black mark on resale, so make sure you figure that in the offer as well.
 
There is a 2013 31CB for sale on yachtworld for $219,900.00. As long as you know what you are getting into it could be a great buy. Throw in a low bid and see if the insurance company bites. The main engine is running and sounds good who knows maybe water did not enter the engine. There is a Ranger Tug dealer in Salem MA, about 60 miles from the boats location. Maybe you could hire them for a day to check it over.
