Yes, do this in the following sequence.
Remove fuses from solar controller to each battery bank powered by controller.
Remove positive lead from solar panel to controller. Be careful not to touch any other wires with exposed end ,this has power from panel.
Wait one minute and reconnect power lead from solar panel to controller.
Reinstall fuses to each battery bank.
This is a reset method. If you are getting an error after this, there is a sequence to follow to get the error code and tell you the issue. The usual error is "missing remote temperature sensor" this is caused when water hits the terminal and closes the circuit out thus making the unit think it has been installed. When the water evaporates and the circuit is opened it thinks it is missing. The best way to avoid this in the future is to jump out the two terminals with some 16ga wire.
