This is live time during an inspection. We don’t know where the tranducer is on our 21 EC we want to buy. The depth finder did not work during very wild sea ride. Help!
 
Probably forward under one of the berth cushions.....if not there ,it may not have a transducer. Needs to be forward of prop for clean water . Some folks opted to not use it as a depth finder. They just use it as chart plotter and trust the charts for nav depth.
 
Should be in. Bilge area stud side fwd of helm station , lift stud side bunk and look below thruster switch

Our transducer, once we located it because of the help on this forum, turned out to just needed water - we added some and it worked fine.
 
If your boat will be subject to freezing during storage periods, it would be recommended to use RV antifreeze or mineral oil to avoid damage.
 
Antifreeze or mineral oil in the transducer over winter?
