The new February Soundings has a two page story by writer-at-large Jack Sherwood, titled "Brutes of Baltimore: the humble tugboat." The majority of the article refers to Ranger owner Bill Eggert's book, Gentlemen of the Harbor: Stories of Chesapeake Bay Tugboats and Crews.
Fortunately, they spell Ranger Tug 25, correctly.
Unfortunately, they spell my last name incorrectly. It's Eggert, not Eggers! Don't you just hate that?
I haven't used so many inappropriate words since I was on a Navy destroyer many, many years ago. I think one escaped in Barnes & Noble!

That's awesome Mr. Eggers...Just Kidding Bill. 😀

At least you don't have folks mispronouncing your name...you don't know how many telemarketers have called the house asking to speak to Juan Garcia, when they pronounce it "Joo-Anne" Garcia...that's when I say, "I'm sorry, it's pronounced "Whan", and since you can't pronounce my name correctly, I'm not interested on what your are selling"...LOL!!!

Seriously though, congrats on your write-up to your book. I know you've spent a lot of time doing research and putting it together, and it shows in your final product. Easy to read and lots of pics for us "Knuckle-draggers". 😉
