Which two suppliers are your go-to organizations for belts and impellers etc for the small yanmar diesels? I'm having a difficult time picking out someone based upon the yanmar website. I just want to make a call and say, hey Mr. Smith, send me part a and b and c for my yanmar. Maybe even get some tech questions asked at the same time. I know, I know, I may be stupid, but after my first year with my twin Suzuki's, I settled on one supplier that seemed to know it all and have it all. That is what I need for my 21 classic 18hp.

Yanmar is restrictive on who can supply and where to protect their dealer. I use this firm http://www.j-wayent.com/. One way to get around the restriction is to have it shipped to a friend in the allowable area and then have it shipped to you. Or perhaps call then and ask if they can recommend someone in your area. I have found J-way reasonably priced and reliable.

It is a struggle for the folks here in Utah. The "local" dealer stocks pretty much nothing as he handles about 30 brands of motors and boats and parts lines. So I'm basically calling him and he's ordering from a stocking dealer somewhere else. I just placed an order with a dealer though they don't have Utah on the list. The order went through just fine, so there may be some holes in the "exclusive" territory thing. This dealer handles Montana and Colorado and states close to Utah, but not Utah. I'll see if it works. The dealer I've ordered from also has a very easy to navigate web site.

Anyone else with thoughts or experience ordering yanmar parts?
