I have the sales literature that came with our 2007 and it does not show a spotlight on any of the boats pictured. Ours has one, but interestingly, it does not appear in what we supposed were "as delivered" photos the previous owner took at Wefings. The mast is listed as an option, by the way.
Unfortunately, I do not have the original invoice, so I cannot say for certain if it was a factory option, or even if the spotlight unit itself was a dealer-installed package that was shipped separately to avoid damage. So......
It is interesting in that the interior shots in the Ranger brochure show the controls for one, and ours match those precisely. Take a look at the shelf where the VHF is mounted and see if there is a control for the spotlight. It is mounted in an inverted-U-shaped upward extension to the shelf about 4 inches wide. It is possible that the unit was once there and failed or was damaged and was removed. (I try to trailer ours with the lens facing aft.) If you can get on the foredeck, also look to see if it appears that the molding which includes the stack and runs forward to the leading edge of the pilot house looks like the spotlight might have been there. It would have been the item farthest forward on that molding.
Years ago, when searching for boats, we even saw several where the legally-required running lights had been removed for some reason. No telling what people will do......
In summary I would guess it was not standard equipment, and the one you are looking at did not have the option. Maybe Marc can clear this up as he was the agent on ours and has a pretty good memory (or at least he did until he got messed up with those SI models.)
