I like the idea of these on the outside. I have been thinking about these and also worried about obstruction of view. My thought is to have them just forward of the helm and by putting them on the outside it would make it easier to walk to the bow of the vessel. I will take a closer look at this.Bobby P.":3fn40u6m said:My fender baskets are mounted on the outside of the stanchion and angled forward to impede sight as little as possible. I don’t find them to be obtrusive at all. I also think they look good there. That said, I do the majority of piloting from the upper helm station (31CB)

Currently the way I am operating as well.Cutwater28GG":23u1q8qt said:i find even a couple of lines tied on the bow rails a nuisance to visibility. 2 fenders would be problematic.
on the cutwater I can actually lay the fenders on the side decks above the cleat point and they dont move. surprisingly.
I just tie the fenders to the swimstep rail. they dont move if the bottoms are resting on the swimstep.
