Sorry to read n see this handle came un attached. As a comparison I’ve owned Fluid Motion boats for 10 years and never had this happen, but when I do have a situation I call someone at the factory for assistance or guidance. Have you reached out to your dealer or the factory for assistance yet?

I did about the corrosion on the outside light switch panel, and Kenny responded quickly. Most of the thing that have been wrong are not huge (except for the engine controls being reversed). I am just tired if things always popping up. Tonight, I had an E2 error code for one of the ACs. After owning the boat for 3 months? Already and error code? My engines turn at times without using the steering wheel. That can be very dangerous, I imagine. I may just have too high a standard for modern work.

I don’t know the make of your AC, however if I remember correctly on mine the E2 error was limited air flow. My problem turned out to be the owners manual was left by the factory inside the AC unit in front of the coils.

I don’t think your standards are too high. I have been very disappointed with some FM workmanship and third party systems that have failed. Even though I like the boat, it has been the most costly boat for maintenance, even more than my 40 foot motoryacht.
 
My window latches also both came off. I attempted an epoxy fix to no avail.
Boys in Des Moines did basically the same thing I did and they too fell off.
I’m going to try a new glue/sealant/epoxy.
Who has had good luck with plastic to glass adhesion?

I've had good luck with this product, great for fixing glass items and plastic, rear view mirror on cars etc. I usually clean with alcohol pads and apply let cure and is dishwasher safe!

The worst thing you can do when going to own a complex machine or vehicle is to expect that everything is going to perform flawlessly. There are always going to be things and hopefully they are small things. Seeing the window handles come off is certainly not a new thing but also a very easy thing to address. We use a black 5200 to secure them back in place that has more pliable characteristics to it. Now, the reason I see these come off is from opening the window all the way back and hitting the handle hard against the glass which causes this to happen. Having owned a 23 for two years, I never had the issue but I was careful and knew that these could be delicate.

In regards to the air conditioning, this could be several different things but since we ran those with you for an extended amount of time, I wouldn't expect anything major. We see where people like to stuff things close to the return air where they aren't getting proper air flow or water isn't pumping through the system because they have an air lock or growth inside the filters.

Try the same adhesive automakers use for sticking the rear-view mirrors onto the windshield of their cars.
I've had the mirror drop off of several cars over the years...most recently a Mercedes. Only ever have to fix it once, the stuff works great. NAPA or any other auto parts place sells it.
 
I usually don't lower my standards until last call!
 
Hey there Forrest,

We are actually now doing a new procedure to adhere the catch/catch to the glass. It involves a two-part epoxy, some light sanding, and heat treatment. I would be happy to send it over and get you lined up with some epoxy. Send me an email and we can get the ball rolling for you to get you taken care of!
 
Marco, any chance you can post that procedure here? I just had one of catches on my starboard window fail.

Surrounded by an abundance amount of wood, I am stating that I've gotten most of the bugs out of my boat and haven't had any issues recently. I have the same window handles and have been afraid for some time that they are weak and will come off...thanks for confirming my concern, I'll be more careful. I'm used to having these things bolted, not glued.

Getting to know the crew at FM has been the key thing. You've heard from Andrew and Marco on this thread and they are both super helpful. Since, like mine, your boat is likely under warranty, I've had outstanding support from the warranty dude, Ralf. I started wondering if they give him any time off.

There are a bunch of conversations, about quality level and expectations to pursue on Tugnuts. In fact, a member did an unscientific poll recently. There is more 'stuff per square foot' on a FM boat than most any other out there. I've gotten comfortable with working with the team to resolve issues and accept that I didn't buy a boat built with 'no compromises' and a commensurate price tag.

My personal issues center much more strongly around hull performance. I just got on the list for 2 Sharrow Props after waiting two months for PowerTech to NOT deliver on an order. With that and drop fins for the trim tabs, I'm hoping to get the 11 degree stern raised and gas consumption/handling improved.
