Has anyone come up with a good way to install a dinghy motor storage mount on the starboard side of a Cutwater 28? When I bought my boat I installed a mount on the port cockpit rail. My generator is on the port side and the boat normally has a slight list to port. With the outboard mounted it is much worse. For now, I lay the motor down in the cockpit on the starboard side. Not a good solution.
There is no good place to install a cockpit rail mount on the starboard side and the swim platform rail is not sturdy enough. I'm thinking about a mount that will fit on the transom between the seat and the door such as the Pactrade Marine motor bracket. I have to do some measurements first. My second option is to have something custom made. Cost will dictate which option I chose. Just want to know if anyone has a better idea.

its a challenge.
some folks who installed the engine onthe swim step rail have braced the rail to the stern with some more stainless tubing. if you do this you could mount it more centrally on the swim step. just depends on if a dinghy is in the way. you would also need to brace it to port of the cockpit door.

In theory it might be possible to mount hanging over the starboard side but it would be sticking out - a challenge for docking. definitely one benefit of the torqueedo is you can throw it into the starboard locker.

I went with the suzuki 2.5 to keep the weight down on the port side.

Found a solution. Ordered this mount from United Kingdom via eBay. The brand is Klivekraft, model F10HP.
