I have a R29 2011 Ranger Tug with the BMW Yanmar 6BY2-260.

I pulled the starter and to my surprise the plate that holds all the information isn't there.

I need a replacement soon...

Can you lookup the starter part # based on the info above?

Thank You

Without having a parts manual for that engine it will tough, maybe someone on here does. Have you tried to have the starter rebuilt locally? As stated in a previous post that will be the fastest and cheapest route to take.
You could call Mack Boring here on the East Coast, they are the regional distributor for Yanmar. Ask for the parts dept and give them the model and serial no. of the engine. I'm sure they can give you the part number, they can't sell to you though. You would have to go through a local Yanmar dealer (who also should look up the number for you). Let us know how it works out. I would also be interested in the removal and assembly steps you had to take for this job.

If what Mike suggested does not work for any reason try calling the parts manager Richard at Ranger Tugs @ 253-839-5213. They may not carry the Yanmar part anymore but should have your part number info and or a good contact for you.
