R25 2008 in the stern starboard side just behind the storage locker is a small pump with a reservoir under it. 2 hydraulic lines come off the pump. It is covered by a lexon cover. The ATF fluid in the reservoir is very low so want to add fluid. Problem is instructions on the casing say to lift the latches to the vertical position and remove the lexon cover to get at the fill hole. I cannot see any latches anywhere on the cover. Where are they? Tried a screw driver to pry it off but went easy so as not to break it. Anyone know where these invisible latches are? No diagram in the manual. I think this is the rudder pump.
Be nice if they had put the fill hole on the outside but that would require actual thinking.

Hi Jim,
I am not intimately aware of that model, but the unit you describe sounds like the trim tab pump and reservoir. If so, mine has one screw in the center of the top. Remove that screw and the "cover" comes off easily. Under the cover, in one corner, is a vertical tube with a little cap.....that cap is where you fill it.

That being said, if the tabs are extended, the fluid will show low.....so be sure to retract the tabs (bow up) before filling or you may end up with an ATF mess....

Disclaimer.....this advice may not be worth the price paid. 🙂

Ahh! trim tab pump. That makes sense. I'll look for that screw. Thanks
