Thanks for all of the great information and suggestions.
My stern thruster was replaced today due to water damage. I'm confident water entered the thruster motor area during transport by trailer. I don't understand the why of it.... Up until transport, three years of use, I had no problems.
Imtra sent a new one after an examination. The mechanic put it in today. Ran right away. Total bill was $2150.
