Stern thruster

Newbie with 25 Ranger Tug, 2007. Stern thruster not working. Propeller will not turn manually. Before doing the "inverted body" trick, any counsel about electrical check(s)? Bow thruster propeller turns freely and that thruster works fine.

Hello Margaret Lower,

If the prop isn't spinning I would suggest removing the motor then trying to spin the prop. My guess is there is a gear leg issue or a motor issue. Removing the motor will help us isolate the problem. If the prop spins with the motor off, then we know it's a motor problem. If the prop still doesn't spin with the motor off then we know it's a gear leg problem.
