Hi folks - Getting on towards launching time here in the northeast. Really looking forward to getting back on the water here (yes, I was on the water all winter in Cayman but it's different here in NJ and a different boat as well!). My problem for which I seek some wisdom is stowing such things as galleyware - dishes, glasses, cups, etc. not to mention utensils. This is the first boat I 've had with no drawers or bulkhead racks and really no good place for them. Talking 25 SC here, by the way. How have some of you solved this. I use one of the cabinets under the sink for my tools but kind of hate to just toss in the dishes etc without securing them. the bulkhead aft of the galley by the stove would be good, but I am leary of putting a rack that close to the stove. I would appreciate your suggestions.
thanks much, Bill

We use an adjustable refrigerator bar made by Camco on the ledge behind the stove, it holds cups ect on the ledge. Camco also makes small utensil holders, fold up drain boards. We have a nesting set of pots we bought from Defender and I secured them under the stove compartment with a bungee cord. We also have a collapsible strainer that takes up very little space. Sea Teak has some nice storage items, recently mounted one on the bulkhead by the stove that will hold plates, cups, utensils, I added a paper towel holder under it. Items we don't use frequently are in the lowest compartment along with the Yanmar parts box. My tool bag might go in there also this year, it continues to grow and it will make good starboard side ballast. The microwave is another storage compartment when you are not using it.
Spring loaded curtain rods on the port and starboard overhead ledges as you enter the cabin will hold paper goods.
Whenever I'm in home good stores I am always looking out for something that may work on the boat. We removed the cushion from the cave and use it for storage. Storage box with wheels made to go under a bed fits in there nicely and it's easy to pull out. RV sites are a good resource also, they have the same issues.

I have seen those cages on sliding rails. You just screw the rails to the shelf and the cage thing slides out for access and in to close the door. That's what I am looking at this year.

Thanks friends. I will look into those ideas!
Bill
