Has anyone using the large MapTech chart books (22”x17”) come up with a solution for how/where onboard to keep them? (R23 for us.) They’re supplemental but we still like to have access to them.

We installed a teak magazine holder to stow the screens and it holds the maptech charts as well.

Submariner, where did you install it?

On my R-23, I built a shelf right inside the cave. I use it primarily for a butane stove, but it could be designed for charts. Easily accessed. gallery2.php?g2_itemId=73716

I think one of the walls in the v-berth would work, too.

Thanks, Hamster. I’ve seen your shelf photo before and didn’t think about it in regard to my current project. That’s a good idea.

I took a couple pictures and posted them to my photo album for you.

I have a RT27 OB, so not quite the same as yours, but this should fit somewhere on a 23.
We use it for storing our screens as well. (Which is actually why we bought it to begin with. Then I picked up the map tech charts and they fit in it perfectly as well)
