Strainer Sea Creatures

After running from Port Townsend to Poulsbo today I checked the sea strainer for fun. Usually there's not much in it but, today was different. It was about 1/4 full with little (less than 1/8") leggy semi-transparent creatures!

Any ideas in what they are? Crab, shrimp larvae? Even had what looked like a 3/8" flounder in there.

I can't tell you what was in there. The only time I had anything in my strainer was when running extremely slowly between Kingston and Poulsbo trolling. I have a personal theory that when running fast on plane, the bow pushes away most of the surface debris.

If you install a flush kit as I have outlined here (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=20427), right after the sea strainer, during the flush procedure it will back flush anything in your strainer back into the water. Besides that one event, mine is always spotless.
