I was surprised at the large cost difference between these two:

C-288 Base: $329K (Luxury Edition)
R-27 Base: $249K (Luxury Edition)

I realize the C288 has two engines. What else makes up the $80K difference.

Am I missing something?

The published dry weight for the C-288 is 10,000 pounds.
The published dry weight for the R-27 is 7,700 pounds.
That makes the cost of the Cutwater LE come in at $32.90 per pound.
The lighter R-27 LE comes in at $32.34 per pound.
They are just about the same really!

PS: The R-25 is a bargain at $29.22 a pound. The R-29S is pricier than the C-288 or R-27 at $34.79 a pound. Seems as dry weight increases the price per pound goes up. Is the price per pound a straight line when compared to LOA?

Beam of the c-288 is 10 feet Vs 8.6 feet for the R-27

That’s where the extra weight and cost

Ahh...thanks
