For some reason the Suzuki engine display at the helm stopped showing engine data such as RPM. It will show speed but nothing else. I tried to look at the back of the panel, but there is too much in the way and I did not want to cause any collateral damage. I had work done at the factor: fiberglass repair; amp meter installed and accum tank.

After I got it back on a trip up to Salt Spring Island the engine quit. It was due to a loose ground in the cockpit center post under the grill. The engine quit running and Ivan helped me figure out how where to look and I tightened it down and we went on our way. Not sure if this is related, but now my starboard nav light doesn't work?!

Any thoughts?

Sounds like the first action to take is the tedious job of checking connections. I would first start in the "back of the panel and clean up the mess and at the same time inspect for questionable connections. If work was done on the boat and a wire loom was moved there is a possibility that a connection that was marginal is now open. It is common issue on a boat and not a bad idea to check connections and add a few extra tie wraps. Do the first check with the Nav. light, bulb, bulb good, voltage at socket, then connections. Electrical can be tedious but if you are finding multiple issues a good inspection is in order. Your issues are frustrating but common in a boat.
