Switches Backlit? Cutwater 28

First night running today and found the switches under the wheel on both sides were not backlit. Are they supposed to be or not......the not requires a flashlight until one is intimately familiar with a desired switch location. Red interior lights were selected On.....any other switch control backlighting of the switches?

No back lighting as switches LED only illuminate when switch selected. (ON indicating LEDs embedded in switch)

I have had the same wish. I keep a small maglite right next to the throttle and it works perfect. Another tip I learned if you're driving at night is that one push of the Garmin Off/On switch takes you to a menu where you can decrease the brightness and/or put it in to night mode. It's easier than trying to fumble through the config options....
