I'm Not sure the theory of engineers putting the weight on the port for running conditions. Most single screw boats run with a right hand rotation prop. A right hand rotation prop's torque, lifts the starboard side. This is the reason smaller water craft have the helm on the starboard side. Captain counter's Prop torque. My 26 Cutwater also runs with a port list which is compensated with Tabs. At rest it also has a port list but not bad.
