Hi,
I recently injured my right arm. At my age it's taking a while to heal. I had always used a line on the dingy to haul it upright, either to just tie on, or more recently with the Weaver Davits I installed. Hauling it up has been aggravating my injury.
To help with that, I put a pulley on the dingy with a snap shackle. Photo below. This is often called a 'runner' system. Gives a mechanical advantage of about 1. So instead of hauling up 80 pounds or so it feels more like 40. Works great for me. I think I'm going to keep it after my arm heals. To make it a runner the pulley has to be on the dingy side with line attached to the railing. I used about 25 feet of line. I can unsnap the rig and stow it on the boat.

Makes it easier to lower to boat into the water too.
