Took delivery of 2014 Cutwater. Manufactured late last year and sitting on the hard at the dealer for prob 6+ months. When cleaning the windows or if someone bumps into the weather stripping it can sometimes transfer a black gooey mess onto your hands, cleaning cloth, or clothes. If this touches any other surface it becomes very hard to remove. I checked some other newer boats on the harbor and their weather stripping seems to be "cured." Flexible, soft, and waterproof but not gooey. I don't know how the weather stripping is applied but it seems like it didn't cure or possibly a bad batch?

Any ideas/thoughts?

Bruce Moore may speak to this. Seems like the factories had a bad batch of sealant. They will probably fix this for you.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll reach out to the dealer and see what they say. If anyone else sees this please let me know.

Have the dealer call Bob Berget or Howard Gearheart at the Monroe plants. They're familiar with the problem and the fix. Ours are fine after they fixed them.

Cheers,

Bruce
