I have researched this question elsewhere, but no answers leaped out at me...

I use a Nexus Card when traveling between the US and Canada (British Columbia). I know I need to have proof of an up-to-date rabies vaccination in order to bring my cat with me, but how does that work with Nexus? Is there something I need to file in advance, or...?

How do you Nexus Card holders do this for your dogs and cats?

We haven't used our Nexus cards yet on the water, but under the old CanPass system, we don't recall ever having to send anything in. We just kept the certificate handy when calling in to give an estimated time and location of our arrival in Canada. Seems like we may have been asked for the expiration date a time or two, and maybe the name of the Vet. It's probably worth a call to Canadian Customs, however, just to be sure.

Thanks!

Simple answer 🙂
