Wondering how to clean/change the check/joker valve in the Tecma electric head on my C30-CB? There's no mention of this anywhere in any manual or documentation. Not a ton of search results here either. Seems like its going to be a crappy job, regardless...

I had to replace the macerator/pump on my Tecma head a couple of years ago. I Considered changing the joker valve as well but did not. The joker valve does not hold any waste from back flowing because the valve is above the tank (meaning the waste does not sit against the valve. A water seal in the bowl prevents gases from passing into the head. The macerator/pump has a built in check valve as well. Long story short, I wouldn't worry about changing the joker valve.
