We have an R29S (2018) with a Tecma EasyFit toilet. I’m wanting to purchase a spare joker valve but all I find is a kit, which includes things not needed. Does anyone have a proper part number for just the joker valve?

Thanks, Jim

I suppose you've found the valve already, but I'd imagine any 1.5" joker valve would work. I'd be interested in hearing what you ended up with. Our new-to-us R29 Classic doesn't have any kind of check valve; it's just an open coupling from the toilet to the discharge hose. I have no idea if it came this way from the factory or if the PO removed it, but I'm installing one this week.

The pump has a built in check valve on the discharge side.. Since the head is above the tank, you don't really need a joker valve downstream from the pump. I don't think mine has one either.

My turn again for replacing a joker valve. One year is about all I can get from one and last time I had to buy the complete assembly.

Anyone find a good solution for sourcing just the joker (appropriately named)? I mean, it's one thing to pay $20 for a cheap piece of rubber, but, $80 and having to throw out the extra parts is criminal.

They are standard sizes, and you can buy dometic joker valves. I can't remember the exact size, but if you call Marine Sanitation in Seattle, they can tell you. I bought a bag of 4 from them for about $30.

Thanks, Dave B.! I've got a call into them now and the person that knows for sure is out sick, but I'll place the order soon as I get the part number confirmed. That's a big help!

I started using the cheaper DOMETIC Joker valves. Now, I'm having a new problem. I replaced the valve and yet I'm still getting seepage into the head. I've never had this happen before with a new valve. Anyone else have similar experience?

We were having seepage problems as well. Dumped in some of this stuff and have not had a problem since (knock on wood).

Order placed. Do you add to toilet or dismantle joker enclosure to pour inside?

Everybody has a different opinion. The 2" Duckbill VG4 was about 0.050 dia too small on my boat. I went with Jabsco 29092-1000 available on Amazon. They are also available at a marine supply place in Anacortes. I can't think of the place now. Let me know if you need it from Anacortes. I will look it up, just a small place.
I have 2017 R29.

PS: The Jabsco joker has been working fine for nine months on my boat

Hi Paul,
Directions are on the bottle. Pour some down the head and flush. I try to let it set a little longer than they say before flushing again. Supposedly it lubricates and makes the valve more flexible. Not sure how, but it seemed to work in our case.
