Took my R29 out today finally! Even though I winterized the Tecma toilet all was not well with the first flush. Actually, flushing is fine but the bowl doesn’t fill with water. Just a very small trickle of pink stuff. Raw water wash down works fine, so thinking either the fill line after the main screen is clogged or I have a bad pump? The fuse is fine.
Hoping someone has had a similar experience and can point me in the right direction.
Thanks!

There are SO MANY different ways the toilets were plumbed it’s crazy!
Is your toilets source of water a dedicated line with a sea cock at the a dedicated through hull like mine? If so, is the sea cock open?
Do you have an inline one way check valve in your system? If so, is the check valve working properly?
Is your toilets water sourced from a shared sea water source with a strainer like engine cooling water or water for the A/C and/or stern raw water pump? Are there any valves next to the strainer that need to be opened?
Knowing the year of your boat would help as well. The plumbing varies not only from year to year but also depending on options that were installed or not.

It’s a 2023 R29. Both the toilet and rear deck wash down are fed by a large sea strainer bowl with one sea cock. 1 raw water line into the sea strainer bowl and two lines out of the same bronze bowl (to the toilet and wash down.) There is only one sea cock on the incoming line, and it is open. The wash down works fine so the intake isn’t clogged.
I don’t see any sort of check valve on the hose to the toilet, but most of that hose runs under the cabin and isn’t accessible.
There’s no AC or generator. The engine has its own dedicated sea cock.

I may try spraying water from a hose up the toilet line inlet in the sea strainer bowl to see if that clears any clogs.
When the toilet is flushed a very small amount of water seeps out, so I’m thinking either a clog or a pump issue?
I have not yet acquired an intimate knowledge of marine toilet technology so am probably missing something obvious.

Have you tried flushing the raw water input line? I do a vinegar flush once or twice a year to control odor and keep the line clear. Other folks install devices, usually with chlorine, to keep lines running clean.

Yes, yesterday I tried flushing the input line at the strainer with a hose. Didn't seem to help. I do hear the clicking sound of the solenoid. So at this point it's either the pump or the tecma controller? Access to the pump will be difficult, it's all the way forward in the starboard lazarette.

The only time I had no raw water coming into the Tecma head was when I changed the joker and, inadvertently, disconnected the wiring to the pump. Reconnecting resolved the issue, but, I don't recall hearing any noises, as you would expect, with a disconnected pump.
