Tecma Toilet

I am wanting to get a back up Macerator for the toilet. We live aboard and use the toilet every day.. the macerator is starting to sound different, but still working. I would like to have back up just in case. Has anyone had to get parts and found any good deals? Has any one had their toilet sound like it is over reving ? Like I said still working just sounding different.

Hi Mark. We had to replace the macerate attached to the underside of the toilet on our R27 Tecma toilet 2 summers ago while in Desolation Sound. It is easy enough to do, finding and getting the part will be the challenge....based on our experience. I think I called Tecma and they did a search of who had the part, in my case a place in Jacksonville Florida had it. If you do not find the part number before we get home in mid April let me know as I may have the info at home in Michigan.

One day it quit working after a week of different and new sounds were made as we flushed the toilet. Good luck.

Well after being off the boat for three months having to replace our engine, thank you Geico, the toilet just as Jim said started making funny noises. After a couple of flushes I read that lubricating oil like a mineral oil if that is all you have may help. Too late. Popped the fuse. Is a part number floating around? Gotta love boating. If not one thing it will be another.
