Am thinking about building a wood pram to replace the inflatable. Anyone have experience with a 65 pound dink on the swimstep?
 
65 lbs is ~a third lighter than the factory dingy. I think you have a good idea. We ran an El Toro as a sailboat dingy for years. Hard to beat the versatility of a decent row boat and easy small bay sailer. I have been interested in Gig Harbor boats. They make 10-12 footers too. My interest is also to row well with a sliding seat, which really requires a longer boat.
