Does anyone know if there are boaters that have installed a Tesla power wall instead of the normal cache of batteries to provide power in their boat?

way too much hassle converting voltages. better off just installing a proper lithium setup.

Would not even think about it. I would rather install another house battery. 😉 Or just run the genset.

In my little R-23, weight would be the biggest issue! I was there at my brother's install, and 2 guys were struggling to get it hooked up on the wall 😱 Looked to easily be over 200 lbs.

On my next boat... the one with the helipad... it might be an idea I'd consider!

I've owned a Tesla Performance Model S since 2013. Zero maintenance ( except replacing rear tires from ludicrous torque ). Zero degradation in the battery after 6 + years. I am looking forward to hybrid boats for the increased performance and decreased maintenance. Electric motors have incredible torque and are instantaneously responsive. Hopeful that Tesla will develop marine specific batteries and boat manufacturers will integrate forward thinking technology soon.
We just met the owner of the first Greenline Yacht (33) in our area. (Texas Gulf Coast)..My wife and I love our R 27 but looking forward to advancements in hybrid technology in the boat world..
