Hi All:

I have had help from all kinds of people - folks who provided sample marine surveys, factory folks with advice on gear, folks who knew the boat I was buying, folks who gave me confidence to buy a Ranger Tug. Thanks to all of you for your help!

We have purchased a 2015 Ranger Tug 29-S (LE) in San Diego. She surveyed extremely well - literally all that needs to be done is repair a bit of canvas, some screens and replace the windshield wipers.

The boat is being made pretty for our first use next season. She is being detailed, having her bottom painted, being winterized and shrink-wrapped. She is being shipped to the Detroit River where she will be launched next spring.

She does not have a name yet - we are still debating options. We live on the loop and will start to do small parts of the loop as we build confidence in ourselves and get to know the boat.

We are super excited and grateful to all the folks who helped us commit to this big decisions.

Daryll.

Welcome to the Ranger Tug family of boaters. Will you trailer your new boat to Ontario or have it shipped? Either way you’ll want to take the cockpit canvas off, secure the hardware, zip tie anything that can come loose, secure the anchor/chain, etc. If you have any questions please post back here. Congratulations.

Welcome, I am new as well by a couple months. I still have my. 24’ SeaSport that I have had since 1996 and plan on selling it.

Thanks Jim. I will get the Marina to batten everything down for me. They will be winterizing, servicing and shrink wrapping the boat for its transit.
