Karma and crew are bound for Victoria on Thanksgiving Day. We will depart Port Orchard at 6:00 am putting us into Victoria around 3:00 pm. We will overnight in Victoria Thursday and Friday. Saturday we will cruise to Friday Harbor. We will overnight in Friday Harbor Saturday night and then head for Port Orchard early Sunday morning.

As long as the weather is good, we will be crossing the Straits of Juan de Fuca both north and southbound.

Anyone wishing to join us, please do.

In the event the weather gods decide differently for us, I will post the changed plans here also.

Just wanted to bring this forward in the event someone wanted to join us.

We would love to join you, but have a houseful for the holiday and then I get the pleasure of call (I couldn't bring myself to type the other 4 letter word!) for friday and through the weekend....Here's wishing you an early Happy Thanksgiving and smooth sailing for you and Maureen!

Drew

We will likely meet up with you in Victoria, weather and work permitting.....although we are not sure whether we will come by tug or by ferry!!

Gail and Patrick

You must come by Tug....... It is the only way to travel......

I agree, but there are other factors to consider, not the least being time........remember - your Thanksgiving is not a holiday for us Canucks!!! However, I am suffering from tug withdrawal so every effort will be made to come by Tug!!!

If you believe, everyday can be a holiday!

Depending on the "Gods of Georgia Strait", Kim and I will try to make our way across for a few days...hope to see you there!

Hey! Its beginning to sound like we are going to have a Ranger Tug Holiday Cruise! The more the merrier!

Well, I believe, and even better I got my boss (of my paying job) to believe that it is necessary to my health and well being to have American Thanksgiving off too! Looking good!!!

Gail

This will be the next adventure on Karma for Maureen and I. If you are unable to join us, you can follow along on our posts right here as well as see our progress on our Spot at:

Planned departure from Port Orhard is 6:00 am on Thanksgiving Day, 11/25. We will return on Sunday 11/28.

The Yanks Are Coming!

Once again we will have to lock up our daughters -- or perhaps it would be better to lock up our turkeys.

One way or another Lobo will drop in.

Dave

Good! I have a window that belongs to you! I will be bringing it along.

Karma,
What channel will you be monitoring while in the Friday Harbor area? We will have a friend in town and may be taking a day cruise if weather permits that weekend.

Randy and Ida,
When underway, we have the radio set to scan; 11 (in Canadian Waters), 14, 16, 22, 68, and 71.

Nita and I are looking at our options for Thankgiving, no promises but don't count us out. It depends on the knee condition and the weather.
Bob

Bob and Nita,
We would love for you to join us. If you can make it work, let us know. We can hook up for the crossing of the straits.

DON'T PUSH THE KNEE!!!!!!!! Sorry, that is the fatherly instinct kicking in.......

David and Maureen

Yipee, Bob and Nita I hope you can make it......hopefully the weather will be like this afternoon and not like this morning (on Salt Spring we say "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes".)

The sun is shining and we have the office door open - a superb fall day!!

Gail

David -- I WELCOME very much to seeing all of you, Maureen and the window.

Dave

It appears that as long as the weather cooperates, we will have five Ranger Tugs in Victoria Harbor on Thanksgiving Day to celebrate both the Canadian and American Thanksgiving Holidays!

I would like to propose that we do a pot luck dinner on Thursday once we all arrive in Victoria.

So far we have:
Karma
Nellie Too
Lobo
That's It
Hermitage

Anyone else wanting to tag along is more than welcome!!
