Steve,
Maureen and I hope you and Tina have a great time in Mexico! Take lots of pictures that you can share on line and at the Rendezvous as well!

Be safe, don't drink the water! I hear the tequila is safe though.....Might not want to use toothpaste when brushing your teeth with it though.... might give you a bad aftertaste!

See you in September!

Definitely looking forward to reading and seeing pictures from this trip!! You guys are making the winter trapped in an office that much more bearable!! Enjoy!

Jack

Could you explain your water tank a little more. Is this a second tank or did you have issues with OEM tank? A possible removable second tank sounds like a good idea for an extended trip such as Inside Passage. Although some will likely use that area for storage. If it is an addition photos would be nice??

Tell the whole story, Steve. Even your check in's and army inspections. Our last trip was a real pain.
Have a great trip. I still love Mexico.

It is the parking lot behind the super 8 that is good for spending the night. Have a great time and keep us posted.

2OOO HRS FRIDAY NITE...THE BEE IS CURRENTLY PARKED WITH ALL THE BIG RIGS WHERE INTERSTATE 10 MEETS 8 JUST NORTH OF TUCSON PLAN ON CROSSING THE BORDER AT NOGALES AROUND 9 TOMORROW MORNING. LAST NITE I LITERALLY DROVE THRU THE BELLY OF THE BEAST [CENTRAL LA AT RUSH HOUR AND BEYOND] TO GET TO MY ADDITIONAL WATER TANK, AS A LOT OF YOU KNOW, I RAISED THE BED IN THE V-BERTH SO 2 COULD SLEEP ATHWORTSHIP, AND AFTER HAVING DONE SO REALIZED BY RAISING THE FLOOR THE SAME HEIGHT WOULD ALLOW A 12''' BY 21'' BY 30' RECTANGULAR TANK TO GO UNDER NEATH... CURRENTLY I ONLY HAVE A 2' FILL CAP ON TOP .WATER TRANSFER TO THE MAIN TANK WILL BE DONE MANUALLY WITH A HOME DEPOT CYLINDER PUMP.. IF I WIND UP REALLY LIKING THE PLAN I WILL PLUMB IT INTO THE PRESSURE SYSTEM WHEN WE GET BQCK HOME.. IN THE MEAN TIME --- 60 GALLONS TOTAL ---O-BOY !!! WILL POST PICTURES OR JUST SHOW YOU GUYS IN SEPT.--NEXT POST WILL BE FROM SAN CARLOS!! DON'T CHANGE THAT DIAL!!!! LONELY STEVE, CHRISTINA BEE... 😀 😀

2200 hrs. am currently sitting in a booth at the cantina bar and grill in san carlos marina.. found out 2 days ago that some one on the I-5 tagged the back of the bee during my trip thru the belly of the beast... spent the day fixing some fiberglass on the thruster, straighting the port trim tab and reconnecting it to the ram.. all is fixed and im in much better spirits... just talked to stuart roysten for 30 minutes [crystal clear commo,, no irritating delays like on cell phones] and it didn't cost a dime!!! for any of you nutters going out of the country its a great way to talk back home without getting drillled for roaming charges.. it;s called SKYPE,,, google it and it will tell you how to sign up. the only thing most people would have to buy is a mic for your computer ..[radio shack 15 bucks] the weather today was gorgeous. the bee is going into her slip tomorrow morning... will check in tomorrow nite....DON'T TOUCH THAT DIAL!!!! STEVE 😀

I second that recommendation for using SKYPE. Our daughter has lived in Germany for the past 15-16 years resulting in enormous telephone bills, even with the best international calling packages.

We've been using SKYPE for months, maybe more than a year. The grandchildren (a boy, 12 and twin girls, 10) love it. They get give us fashion shows, LEGO exhibitions, music recitials and etc. We were online with them for over an hour yesterday, about the same amount of time our phones calls used to run.

Isn't technology great? 😀

Most new laptops come with a built in mic and camera. They are skype ready, and to download skype is free. When you talk computer to computer it is free no matter where you are in the world. You can also load on ten bucks worth of skype credit and use you computer as a phone. I think I payed 2 or 3 cents a min calling from my computer in mexico to a land line in the states. One thing I would do is check my voice mail on my cell phone from skype and then return any messages from skype and since I was maybe calling a land line back home it was using my skype credit at 2 or 3 cents a min.
I would spend up to three weeks down in mexico and call home almost every day and when I got home i still had skype credit left from my ten bucks i put on before starting our trip.
Having a camera on the computer is also nice. We would be able to talk to the house sitter back home and we could see our animals that we missed so much. It kind of made it easier to be away from them.
Go Skype....... 😀 Stuart
