Finally! I got delivery of my new to me R27. She's in her slip and today is going to be nice. Guess what we're doing this afternoon? Those thrusters are great. I got into my slip no problema and pulling away from the ramp drew a crowd. You can go sideways or spin in circles. Looking forward to a great season on Long Island. 😀

I just had to reply to your mention of the THRUSTERS. My wife usually drives while I handle the lines as we come into a dock.
After she maneuvered in the locks (Ballard locks in Seattle) which tool several moves due to the number of boats, a woman in the boat next to us stated she had "thruster envy"! No better compliment. Much better than "it sure is cute".

Thrusters are sure nice if you have any wind or tide. That is one of the reasons I bought my tug. The bow thruster and all the other features BIG boats have that come standard on a Ranger Tug. Luv it !!!

We went out today and pulled up next to a friend. It was blowing a little (15 knts) and we just pulled next to him, hit both thrusters and moved sideways real slow and tied off for a chat. Then we reversed the process, threw off the lines, hit the thrusters together, then put it in gear and go.
