We've sold our R27, ECHO, and also now know how to construct a website!
We thought there would be some interest in our R27 outfitting experience based on decades of boating, but were totally surprised by the literally "tens-of-thousands" of "page views" that the site has received since February (many from "Tugnuts", according to the "Squarespace Metrics" information). Therefore we've decided to "keep the site up" though September (don't worry . . . we aren't selling anything now) and are informing this online community of the fact with this, our "swan-song post".
We think that even folks that have visited the site before might be interested in some new content that we've added in response to various queries we've received there . . .
Someone wanted us to comment on R27 handling in inclement conditions; you can find our response here:

As an aside, inclement weather is actually a different topic; to see how we tried to avoid it, check out the bottom of this page (if you haven't already) :

Additional "new content" deals with:
- Johnson bilge pumps and switches
- a definitive way to destroy batteries on a R27 (just one of many), and
- "new" easy-to-install battery monitors
These topics can be found as an addendum at the bottom of this page:

A few "month-old" general comments about "buying and selling boats" can be found at the bottom of this page:

Have you always been planning to eventually get a spare prop for your R27 with a Yanmar 4BY2-180 but "haven't yet"? Do you know the prop specs.? . . . (We didn't). Find them here:
http://www.rangertugr27forsale.com/equipment-list
Our oringinal "R27 Outfitting Page can still be found here:

We will continue to respond to queries at our own website through September, and will read this site a few more times over the next week or so. It makes us feel great when we see that some have spent an hour or two perusing our site. We hope that folks here have as many interesting trips and as much fun on their Ranger Tug as we had on ours!
Take care,
Bob Lynch
