The World of Ranger Tugs Map - get on it.

Please add Purfec! an R-27 to the map in Port of Edmonds.

Welcome to the map, Lee and Sally. Put you right inside the breakwater, next to Laxey. Let me know if you want anything added or changed.

Cheers,

Bruce

Lee: I was the one saying Hello to you from my D-31 slip today. I saw you goofing about with your R-27 just outside the Edmonds Marina breakwater as I was approaching after having gone over to Poulsbo for lunch with two dear friends of mine. We had a lovely day out with very calm waters most of the way out and back. The wind had kicked up some around 6pm and made for some chop and swells around the entrance to Edmonds. I watch you in your R-27 rollicking about in the waves and it sure looked as if you were having fun. You sped ahead and I didn't catch up until I saw you backing into your slip. 😀 It was grand seeing you out in that smashing looking green hulled R-27. Til next time....

Thanks, Dave and Chris, for sending the information again. You're on the map. Let me know if you'd like anything added or changed.

Any more boats out there wanting to represent their location on the "World of Ranger Tugs Map"? Send me a PM with your details and I'll get your marker set.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi all,

I am wondering if there is an easy place to find the names of all the Ranger Tugs?

Thanks!

The names of all the boats on the map are in the left hand column. The member names of all the Tugnuts can be found here, but they're not necessarily boat names. But, you can find Ranger Model and Vessel Name in each member's profile.

Other than that, I'm not aware of a Ranger Tug name "registry".

Bruce

Looked for a pin but could not find one at the Indian River Marina (Delaware). Tug on the hard there yesterday -- looked like she was anticipating summer adventures 8>)) Of course there are freeze warnings for tonight after mid-70*s last week. 8>((

Locking up the Ocean View house and heading back to Nevada in a little bit. Back for a week in mid-April then in June for the summer.

Thanks for the spot, Bill. The boats aren't on the map unless the owner submits a request. Totally an opt-in deal. Anyone who want to join the map can just send me details via personal message or email.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi, Bruce. Nice to see you keeping up doing the good works.

About time I added my boat:

LOBO
David & Lynne Trace
R25
FMLT2562J708
Owned since May 2008
Location: Royal Victoria Yacht Club, Victoria, BC Canada
48 27.05' 30" N 123 17.34' 26" W

Phone: 250-721-4201
Cel: 250-661-6182

Cruising area: Gulf and San Juan Islands, Salish Sea.

Alright Dave - you're on the map. Google maps put those coordinates out in the middle of the Strait, so I tucked you inside the RVYC harbor.

Also, the previously mentions R25 on the hard at the Indian River Marina in Delaware is now on the map. She's the Laughing Gull.

Cheers,

Bruce

Hi Tugnuts,

I need to change my address on the Control Panel but am not sure what to use for a location, so thought I would put out the information here.

I have sold my home, and the closing is set for October 19th. Hopefully all will go smoothly, which will mean the boat can be paid off, the pooch and I will be genuine liveaboards, travel to new places and learn more about living simply.

Cascadia is going to be trucked to San Diego and Gus and I will meander south in the 4Runner and see what it is like living at Kona Kai Marina, the last marina in San Diego Bay before getting out on the ocean.

It will provide a change in environment, weather and scenery, a chance to kayak in San Diego Bay, learn more about boating in that environment, and get out on the ocean visiting some islands, including Catalina, perhaps.

The much larger draw will be enjoying two small grandkids, and sharing time with them and their parents on the water.

I do not know how long we will be there, but plan to return as liveaboards somewhere around the San Juans and Gulf Islands. Perhaps being "homeless" will free up more resources to travel north up the coast, or provide new opportunities and experiences totally unexpected.

Maybe I will be living among sailors and join others headed south to Mexico then west aboard a sailboat. Doubtful, but who knows?

Good for you, Anne, and congratulations. Shift happens!

PM me if you need help updating your profile and/or the World of Ranger Tugs map. See you next summer.

Cheers,

Bruce

Bruce: Can you remove the Email info from the Laxey entry at the Tugs Map web site. Thanks....

Love this. As soon as we get our boat and are official, will definitely sign up for this.

Thank you

I do not think you can float a R31 in the Blanco River.....at least not very far. 😀 Welcome, We look forward to seeing it....and you.

Rangers seem to have a habit of multiplying. There are two Tugs on the hard at Indian River marina this winter.

My wife is thinking that an R21EC would be "just right" for her boating vision here at the Delaware shore so maybe there will be three next winter!

Multiplying for sure. There are now 165 Ranger Tugs on the map. But there are so many more out there.

If your boat isn't on the map yet, consider joining us. Send me a private message with details and I'll get you added right away.

Cheers,

Bruce
