I'm having an overheating problem with my 2013 R29 with a Yanmar 6 BY. The impeller has only 40 hours on it but I'm going to have that changed anyway as the first step. I have a spare thermostat that came with the spares kit but so far I can't find where it is located on the engine. I think that would be the second part to swap out and check if it is working with a "boil test". The engine has 180 hours since new.
Any other trouble shooting steps that you would recommend would be appreciated.

If your overheating problem is at high rpm, you may have a restriction on your raw water in put line.

I change mine from 1 1/4” to 1 1/2” and the problem went away.
