Here it is: Northeast Ranger Tugs Rendezvous 2025, August 7-10, Milford, CT

When: Arrive any time after 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 7. Two days in port on Friday and Saturday. Depart before 11:00 AM on Sunday, August 10.

Where: Milford Lisman Landing Marina, 37 Helwig Street, Milford, CT 06040

Details: Look forward to three days of meeting and getting to know fellow Ranger Tug owners, sharing experiences and checking out each other’s boats. The factory will again support the event. I’m trying to again arrange some seminars for boating related topics. We are anticipating factory support again, including some SWAG. We will have use of the marina’s pavilion at no additional charge for our use for get togethers, activities, group meals if we wish, etc. I will probably provide some live musical entertainment at some point, as everyone seemed to enjoy it the last couple of years. Also working on some activities for the group. Stay tuned…..

Still have a lot of work to do, but am thinking of loosely following the format of other rendezvous events in which the first night is a cocktail hour and then a pot-luck/sharing dinner. The second night dinner will probably be New Haven Pizza night. For those of you who don’t know, Pepe’s and Sally’s in New Haven, CT are famous for some of the absolute best pizza on the planet. New Haven area folks claim that Frank Pepe invented pizza as we know it.

The third night will be a dinner at a local restaurant. We are anticipating that the dinner will be either fully or partially sponsored by the factory – depends on how many participants we have.

Area: The Milford Lisman Landing Marina is located in Milford Harbor and is as far into the harbor as one can navigate. As such, the water is calm and the walk into downtown Milford is measured in feet or yards and not miles. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in downtown Milford and the fare ranges from ice cream to tacos to burgers to high end dining and everything in between. No fast food, however. The neighboring marina, Milford Boat Works has a well-stocked ship’s store in the event you should need something for your boat. They also have a few nice gifts.

Marina and Dockage Reservations: Each tug owner will need to make his/her own reservations. Dockage is $4.25/foot for the Thursday night and $4.25/foot on Friday and Saturday nights. Shore power is $15.00/night for 30 amp and $20.00/night for 50 amp service. The marina offers free pump out services and there is fuel next door at Milford Boat Works. For those of you wishing to trailer your boat, there is a city ramp on site. You will need a permit to use the ramp, but the marina will waive the permit fees with two nights of dockage. When you make your reservations either via phone or Dockwa, please let them know that you are part of the Ranger Tug group, as they will try to make sure that we’re all together. I would suggest making reservations sooner rather than later, as although they are planning on us, they will take reservations on a first come, first served basis. As long as a cancellation is received more than 24 hours in advance, you are entitled to a full refund of dockage.

Here is the link to Milford Lisman Landing’s web page where you will find the information you need to make your reservation: https://www.ci.milford.ct.us/harbor-management-commission-marina/pages/milford-lisman-landing-marina

Please e-mail me, Greg Zigmont at zigracer@aol.com once you have made your reservations and include your cell phone number, your boat model and name, as well as how many people on your crew, so I can get a head count. I am also going to need a $30.00 fee for each crew member in advance of the event to cover the cost of the pizza night and various incidental expenses that I incur to put the event together. You can send funds via Venmo to me: @Gregory-Zigmont

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Wow.. toured area for rendezvous and confirmed its a great location in the heart of downtown Milford! Met with Jim at Lismans Milford Marina and reserved our spot for SPIRIT. It appears that 5 boats had already reserved spots. The Marina is at the very end of the west side of the Milford River before the first Bridges over the river. The Marina has great covered area adjacent to docks and also nice seating area in park like setting. We ate at the Colony Grill in town (about a 5-7walk to marina) and picked up some spectacular deserts at Scratch Bakery (they have a full breakfast and lunch menu.coffee, tea -to go). .There are at least 5-10 stores/shops literally across the street form the Marina. We are certainly looking forward to our run up from Stamford to this event in August.

We just registered! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

We went last year for the day with our RT 21 Toto for the day and had a blast. Going to head to this years event! Here are the highlights !

Hi,
I'm a very new Ranger Tug owner - just purchased a 2015 R31S. I live in Niantic, CT and would love to come to the Rendezvous by boat but I have some obligations that weekend that will prevent me from doing that. I could however, drive down during the day and would love to meet other Ranger Tug owners and learn about their experiences. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions by then. Am I able to attend without our boat?

Thanks,
Bob Garofalo

Hi Everyone,

Same here. I live about 40 minutes away in Mamaroneck, NY. The hubby and I don't own a Ranger Tug yet, but I'm very interested in either a R-25 or R-27. Would it be possible to attend one day as well?

BobG I live in Lyme
I may drive down as well …

My travel plans have changed, and I'll sadly miss the event. Looking forward to next year. @BobG and @AGLyme I just moved to Lyme - would love to connect.
thanks,
Ray
