This will be a bittersweet weekend.

Saturday we will remember the 20th anniversary of 9/11. No details needed. It is also my son Zach's 31st birthday.

On Sunday, Zach and I are taking YOLO back to where it all started, Winter Island Yacht Yard in Salem, MA. We are trading her in for a 2022 R-31S LE. Very excited! Will meet her at the 2022 Boston Boat Show next February.

My wife and I have been taking two, and now three week vacations to Cape Cod. We have realized that we need more room, especially with galley storage and sleeping quarters. Also, the extra 1.5' in the beam will give us a little more confidence when it comes to more challenging sea states.

Whoever buys Yolo will be getting a well cared for boat with some pretty nice custom upgrades. Good luck with your new vessel!

Let me chime in here. Yolo’s cockpit upgrades are the best. So good we copied them on our classic R-27, albeit not as elegantly.

Congrats on the upgrade Barry. My wife and I just completed 6 consecutive weeks aboard our R-29CB and were laughing just this morning about what a difference a few feet makes for extended livability. Now there is the problem of housing grandkids since we filled the quarter berth with junk.

One of these days (promises, promises) we will ship the boat to the east coast. See you at Tashmoo Pond on Martha’s Vineyard!
