Throttle won't engage?

Hello

We recently bought a new-to-us 2012 R-29 S.
Finally got everything ready to leave the slip, and our throttle stays in Neutral and only moves backward. What am I missing/ doing wrong.

The cable for the throttle could have come loose, please check it at the engine and at the throttle.

Hi Jared

I can’t get to the cable at the throttle because the sliding box console doesn’t appear to have a way in.

Also, can you give me an idea of what the throttle cable might look like in the engine compartment?
