Thruster anodes 2019 C28

The c28 manual does not show thruster anodes and I was told by a mechanic that they do not have anodes. Yet the thruster manuals show a pyramid shaped anode on each thruster. Any thoughts on this?

My 2016 C28 has an anode on each thruster in the tunnel on the face of the thruster propeller. It is held in place by a small bolt in the center of the anode cone. It is removed with an Allen wrench. Access on mine is from the port side deep in the center of the tunnel.

What thruster is installed on the C28. Fluid motion used Side Power thrusters and on some models changed to Lewmar thrusters which have composite housings and anodes are not needed. If you have a Side-Power there is an aluminum anode that is mounted to the nose cone of the thruster housing. # 3 1180 A

Thanks to all. I have sidepower thrusters so I need the anodes checked. I don’t know why the boat manual does not show this.

My aluminum anode set for my 2017 C-28 is in the mail right now. The Side Power thruster anodes for both bow and stern thrusters are the same and can be purchased here:
