Thruster remote issue

When trying to use my new thruster remote, a beep and flashing red light would come on and the remote didn’t work. It’s a brand new remote which I’ve had for a week and used 2 times. Prior to taking it apart to get a new battery I thought I’d ask whether this sounds like a battery issue or not.
The thruster switch was on as were the thruster controls.

Check the manual as I believe you may need to “pair” it again . I know either my thruster or autopilot remote had that happen.

Hi Dan,

Did you turn on the “thruster remote” switch at the dash first? You want to turn on the switch then the remote. Let me know if that works for you.

Yes Kevin I did that. The thruster rocker switch was on, and the thruster control at the helm was turned on. The remote just had the blinking red light but did not work.
