Thruster removal through Icemaker opening?

I need to remove the rear thruster on my 2011 29' tug equipped with the Newport Package. It appears the icemaker in the Newport Package sits directly over the thruster and that the floor under the Icemaker may be removable. Is this correct and if so I would assume it would greatly facilitate the thruster removal? Has anyone done this? How did it work out?

Hello,

The only thing I have ever done to remove and service a thruster on that model is to go in from the engine compartment hatch. TO make it easier, I move the wash down pump out of the way so I am not laying on it during service.
