Thruster zincs

Our CB30 has the Lewmar thrusters. I was told they don’t have zincs because of the way thet are constructed…but zincs show up on the order form. Am confused!

Hi David,

That all depends on the order form that you are referring to. If it is our internal one, then it is because it also has the zincs listed for the Imtra Sidepower thrusters. Hope that clears it up a bit.

I called Lewmar on this very issue. The customer service rep said his pubs indicated that the thruster (140TT) used zincs. However, after some digging, he discovered that zincs were discontinued after ~2018. I recall him saying it was because of increased composite use during manufacture. Regards, Dave
